DC’s upcoming live-action Teen Titans series has found its second cast member, with Deadline reporting that Anna Diop (24: Legacy) is set to play Koriand’r, a.k.a. Starfire, in Titans.
The character is described as “an alien princess from a warrior planet who seeks asylum on Earth. A no-nonsense, take-no-prisoners stranger on our world, she has the ability to shoot energy bolts and fly. Searching for her place on Earth, she’ll come into contact with the Titans.”
Earlier this month, it was revealed that Australian actress Teagan Croft (The Osiris Child) has secured the role of Raven in the series, which sees Dick Grayson emerging from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless group of young superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe.
Titans is being produced by Greg Berlanti, Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns and Sarah Schechter for Warner Bros. TV, and is set to feature as part of the upcoming DC-branded streaming service due to launch next year.
