Anna Kendrick is heading to Mars with sci-fi flick Stowaway

October 31, 2018 by Matt Rodgers

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Anna Kendrick is planning a journey to Mars with sci-fi survival thriller Stowaway.

The A Simple Favour star will climb aboard for writer/director duo Joe Penna and Ryan Morrison, the filmmakers behind Mads Mikkelsen drama Arctic. The premise for the film is as follows:-

Stowaway follows the crew of a spaceship headed to Mars that discovers an accidental stowaway shortly after takeoff. Too far from Earth to turn back and with resources quickly dwindling, the ship’s medical researcher (Kendrick) emerges as the only dissenting voice against the group consensus that has already decided in favor of a grim outcome.

Penna graduated from YouTube notoriety, where the success of his MysteryGuitarMan channel led to a directing gig with Artic, which was among the official selections at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

XYZ will produce Stowaway alongside RISE Pictures and augenschein Filmproduktion.
