Despite receiving some truly awful reviews when it was released in 2014, The Conjuring spin-off Annabelle is getting a sequel of her own. And THR are reporting that the movie has a new cast member.
According to the site, The Lord of the Rings star Miranda Otto has joined the cast of the movie, which will be directed by David Sandberg (Lights Out). The cast also includes Stephanie Sigman (Spectre).
[Annabelle 2] tells of a dollmaker and his wife who, 20 years after the tragic death of their little girl, welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home. Soon, however, the nun and the girls become the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.
Annabelle may have had terrible reviews, but it made $265 million worldwide off a budget of $6 million. Its parent movie’s sequel The Conjuring 2 has already made nearly $200 million worldwide and another spin-off based on The Nun was announced last week.
