In a news day that also has rumours of Batman’s role in Suicide Squad, the chaps over at Latino Review have another new “scoop” for Marvel’s upcoming release of Ant-Man. Get your pinch of salt ready.
According to the website, Ant-Man will contain “lots of talk and references” to both Spider-Man and OsCorp in the latest version of the movie. They do stress that these are “unconfirmed rumours”, which is likely industry talk for “made up”. The site also claims that Darren Cross is trying to sell his Yellowjacket technology in the movie to several buyers, one of which could be Norman Osborn.
Nothing to get too excited about yet, as Latino-Review also said Spider-Man would be in Avengers: Age of Ultron…
The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time with Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man. Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang (Paul Rudd, Anchorman 2) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas, Wall Street), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
Ant-Man is set for release on July 17th, with Peyton Reed (Down with Love) directing a cast that includes Paul Rudd (I Love You, Man) as Scott Lang, Michael Douglas (Behind The Candelabra) as Dr. Hank Pym, Evangeline Lilly (The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug) as Hope Van Dyne, Corey Stoll (House of Cards) as Darren Cross / Yellowjacket, John Slattery (Iron Man 2) as Howard Stark, Hayley Atwell (Captain America: The First Avenger) as Peggy Carter, Judy Greer (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) as Maggie, Bobby Cannavale (The Long Play) as Paxton, Michael Peña (American Hustle) as Luis, Abby Ryder Fortson (Togetherness) as Cassie Lang, David Dastmalchian (The Dark Knight) as Kurt, Wood Harris (The Wire) as Gale, T.I. (American Gangster) as Dave, Jordi Molla (Riddick) as Castillo, and Gregg Turkington (The Comedy) and Martin Donovan (Inherent Vice) in as yet-unrevealed roles.
