Apple TV+ is building a new series and has hired two big names to bring acclaim.
In a new report from Variety, it has been revealed that the streamer is developing 12 12 12, a new heist series set to star Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan. In addition to starring, the pair will also be executive producing.
The official logline reports the series follows “a disgraced FBI agent (Mackie) and an American career criminal (Dornan) who play a zero-sum game of cat and mouse across Europe. At the center of it all is the daring, epic raid on a bank vault deep beneath the streets of Zurich.”
Additionally, as the title hints, 12 12 12 will take place over three timelines: the 12 months before the heist, the 12 hours of the heist, and the 12 days after.
Mackie and Dornan are familiar with each other, as they’ve previously starred together in the 2019 film Synchronic. Mackie is awaiting the release of his theatrical Captain America debut in Marvels’ Captain America: Brave New World, while Dornan is set for the upcoming Netflix series The Undertow, in which he will play twins.
Variety reports that 12 12 12 is “nearing a series order.”
