Anthony Michael Hall is set to join Jamie Lee Curtis in Blumhouse’s Halloween Kills, the upcoming sequel to last year’s Halloween.
According to Variety, Hall is set to portray Tommy Doyle, a character who first appeared in John Carpenter’s 1978 original movie as one of the children that Laurie was babysitting the night Michael Myers returned to Haddonfield.
In 1995’s Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, Tommy Doyle was played by Paul Rudd (Avengers: Endgame), which saw the character team up with Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasance) to one again try and take down Myers. Rudd was apparently offered the opportunity to return but was unable to due to a scheduling conflict with Ghostbusters.
Hall is best known for his roles in The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink. His other credits include the USA TV series The Dead Zone, The Dark Knight, and Netflix’s War Machine.

As previously announced, the next two Halloween sequels, Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends, will be shot back-to-back and directed by David Gordon Green and co-written by Green and Danny McBride who are returning from the 2018 instalment.
Blumhouse’s Jason Blum and John Carpenter (who is also scoring both films) will be producing the sequels, which see the return of Jamie Lee Curtis (Laurie), Judy Greer (Karen, Laurie’s daughter), Andi Matichak (Allyson, Laurie’s granddaughter), and both Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney as The Shape.
