With a second season already in the can and gearing up to premiere later this year, Apple TV+ has announced that it has ordered a further two seasons of its acclaimed spy drama Slow Horses.
Based on Mick Herron’s book series, Slow Horses follows a dysfunctional team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5 known un-affectionately as Slough House, led by Oscar-winner Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb.
In season three of the series, Jackson Lamb’s disgraced spies will work together to foil a rogue agent when one of their own is kidnapped. Season four opens with a bombing that detonates personal secrets, rocking the already unstable foundations of Slough House.
In addition to Gary Oldman, the cast of Slow Horses includes Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Freddie Fox, Chris Reilly, Samuel West, Sophie Okonedo, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Kadiff Kirwa and Jonathan Pryce.
