Exciting news for DC fans, as this week is set to bring us our very first look at the next chapter of the DC Extended Universe with the arrival of the first trailer for the James Wan-directed Aquaman.
According to Variety, the trailer debuted at the CineEurope conference in Barcelona, Spain yesterday, with Warner Bros. set to release the trailer online this week, and in U.S. theaters attached to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
A detailed description of the trailer is yet to make its way online, but KinoMetro.ru stated that it featured “not only traditional action and dizzying special effects, but also good humor [and an] unusually bright picture not so common with films from DC.”

Aquaman is directed by James Wan (The Conjuring) and stars Jason Momoa as the titular hero, reprising his role from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, along with Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master, Willem Dafoe as Dr. Vulko, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry, Ludi Lin as Murk, Michael Beach as Jesse Kane, Randall Park as Otis Dhanji as a young Arthur Curry and Graham McTavish in an as-yet-unrevealed role.
