On Friday Ubisoft announced that the second expansion for Assassin’s Creed Origins, The Curse of the Pharaohs, has had to be delayed by a week taking the release date back to the 13th March. Considering the work Ubisoft have been doing to make this game look and feel completely awesome, not to mention the free and informative Discovery Tour update, I think we can forgive them for one little week of extra waiting. Also released is a new trailer providing a glimpse of the gameplay of the new DLC and some further details. You can watch this below…
In The Curse of the Pharaohs expansion Bayek discovers a mysterious artifact in Thebes that leads him to an entire new area where the undead pharaohs, in true Hollywood style, are walking the streets killing the innocent civilians looking for the antiquities stolen from their tombs by grave robbers. Bayek will need to hunt down these items to allow the pharaohs to sleep once more.
The new DLC will consist of a huge map filled with beautiful scenery and deadly surprises. Players will be able to visit the ancient city of Thebes and its famed temples of Karnak and Luxor plus there are also the plundered tombs within the Valley of the Kings.
To help players through this new DLC, Bayek’s level cap has increased to 55 plus there are seven new abilities to unlock including Dash Boost which rewards perfect dodges with a boost to damage and Overpower Fury which can help heal Bayek.
The Curse of the Pharaohs will arrive on the 13th March.
