Asterix and Obelix returning to video games

February 13, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Anuman Interactive today announced that they have signed a licencing agreement with Les Éditions Albert René for the rights to Asterix and Obelix for several new video game projects.

“The Anuman Interactive team is delighted to be working on a licence as prestigious as Asterix and Obelix,” said Alain Milly, Vice-President of Publishing at Anuman Interactive. “We look forward to having players take on the roles of these iconic, cross-generation heroes.”

“We are very pleased to announce this agreement with Anuman Interactive for the return of Asterix and Obelix to current video game consoles,” added Céleste Surugue, Managing Director of Les Éditions Albert René.

A host of Asterix video game titles have arrived over the years, beginning with 1983’s Asterix on the Atari 2600. The most recent, Asterix & Friends, was released on mobile devices in 2016.
