Atmospheric sci-fi 2D platformer System Purge out now on Steam

April 6, 2022 by Andrew Newton

Indie developer Actual Nerds has announced the release of their atmospheric sci-fi 2D platformer System Purge on Steam for a mere £3.99.  Originally a Game Jam winner, System Purge will take players on a thrilling adventure to rescue their lost love.  Watch the new launch trailer below…

System Purge takes players on a challenging adventure as they take control of the game’s hero who has found themselves trapped within a buried long forgotten facility.  The facility is controlled by an ancient machine that will attempt to kill any intruder in a number of ghastly ways and it is up to players to get to the heart of this machine to rescue their lost love.  However, it won’t be easy to reach the core as deadly lasers, crushers, giant chainsaws and more deadly traps lay in wait to be activated by the machine.

The game features:

  • There are seven distinct sectors to get through, including an abandoned weapons laboratory and a vast echo chamber.
  • Players will need to survive the wide array of increasingly difficult traps and obstacles that lay in wait.
  • An exciting story with an adorable character.
  • Lots of secrets to discover and hidden challenges to complete in order to understand the history of the machine.

System Purge is available now on Steam for PC, priced £3.99.
