The writers of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 have commented on their fondness of M.O.D.O.K. and if the villain will appear in the MCU.
Avengers: Infinity War has a pretty impressive villain in Thanos, a being that managed to wipe out half of the Avengers and the universe’s population with a click of his fingers.
But there was at some point thought of another villain appearing in the film, with writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely being very fond of the character. Speaking on Kevin Smith’s Fatman on Batman podcast, Markus talked about M.O.D.O.K. and how he would liked to have had him appear in Infinity War:
“I’ve wanted to put M.O.D.O.K. in, and it’s very hard to go ‘here’s the supporting character the giant head’.’ And then we’re going to get on with the story. We just came to him for information. Like you kind of have to design the whole movie around the guy with the giant head.”
And on if the villain could appear in Avengers 4, Markus said: “I have love for M.O.D.O.K. and I still think properly done he’d be terrifying. Like you look all the way down the hall and like this huge head comes around the corner and starts coming and…oh, it would be awesome.”
What do you guys think? Is M.O.D.O.K. a good fit for the MCU right now? Or should he be introduced further down the line?
