THR is reporting that DC Studios is looking to pair two of its supervillains for a team-up movie, with development underway on a film focussing on Bat-villain Bane and Teen Titans nemesis Slade Wilson, a.k.a. Deathstroke.
While details are scarce and a director is yet to become attached, the potential project is being scripted by Matthew Orton, whose credits include Operation Finale, Moon Knight, and the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World.
Bane has twice appeared on the big screen, played by wrestler Jeep Swenson in Batman & Robin and Tom Hardy in The Dark Knight Rises. Deathstroke meanwhile was featured briefly in the DC Extended Universe, with Joe Manganiello appearing as Slade in Justice League in a cameo that was originally intended to set him up as the villain in Ben Affleck’s The Batman as well as his own Deathstroke solo film.
