Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice to film in Chicago

September 30, 2014 by James Garcia

The Windy City has been very kind to both the Caped Crusader and the Man of Steel, standing in for both Gotham City and Metropolis in films like The Dark Knight and Man of Steel. According to FOX 32 News, the World’s Finest are returning to Chicago for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Chicago will once again stand in as Metropolis, where the two titular heroes will be “duking it out” for a few weeks beginning in November. You can read the full report here:

Get ready, Chicago: Batman is returning to the Windy City!

The man in charge of making sure everything runs smoothly is Rich Moskal, the director of the Chicago Film Office. Moskal is the liaison here in Chicago for the Hollywood hot-shots who want to shoot in our city.

Moskal is now gearing up to turn Chicago into a battleground for the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel — production of the new film “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is coming to Chicago in a few weeks.

Rather than standing in for Gotham city, Chicago will now be transformed into the home of Superman – much like it was for “Man of Steel.”

Expect to see Batman and Superman duking it out in early November. They’ll be in downtown Chicago for about four to five days, and then another week and a half in surrounding communities.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
