In November, the BBC announced that it had delayed its planned Christmas premiere of the Agatha Christie adaptation Ordeal By Innocence after allegations of rape were made against one of its stars, Ed Westwick.
Well, it seems the Beeb will now go down the All the Money in the World route, and has decided to remove Westwick from the adaptation entirely. The former Gossip Girl star is set to be replaced by Christian Cooke, who will be shooting his scenes this month. Co-stars including Bill Nighy, Anna Chancellor, Anthony Boyle and Alice Eve will join Cooke on location in Scotland for the reshoots.
In addition to removing Westwick from Ordeal By Innocence, the BBC also halted production on the second series of the comedy White Gold, which saw Westwick starring alongside former Inbetweeners Joe Thomas and James Buckley.
Westwick was accused of rape by two women, with a third woman alleging sexual assault. The actor has vehemently denied the rape accusations.
