After setting Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeney in the second season of Beef back in October, Netflix has now filled out more of its cast for the anticipated new season of the dark comedy anthology.
Joining the series is William Fichtner (Prison Break), Mikaela Hoover (Superman), Seoyeon Jang (Butterfly) and K-Pop star BM.
Fichtner and Hoover will play a married couple whose argument is the catalyst for this season’s storyline at an elite country club. BM will play a tennis player who runs the club’s tennis shop while Jang will be the translator for the club’s owner.
Season two of Beef will center on a young couple that “witnesses an alarming fight between their boss and his wife, triggering chess moves of favors and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner.” This second installment in this anthology will have eight 30-minute episodes, down from last season’s ten episodes.
Lee Sung Jin will again serve as showrunner on Beef, executive producing with Steven Yeun, Ali Wong, and Jake Schreier. A24 produces the series.
