AFFLECK BATMAN WOES?
Over the San Diego Comic Con weekend, there were reports that Warner Bros. were reconsidering the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman in their DC Extended Universe, possibly before his solo movie The Batman. However during DC’s panel in Hall H, Affleck reassured fans that he was sticking with the cowl in Justice League and beyond. “Let me be very clear. I am the luckiest guy in the world. Batman is the coolest fucking part in any universe, DC, Marvel. It’s incredible and I am so thrilled to do it. I know there’s a misconception that because I didn’t direct it maybe I wasn’t enthusiastic about it… it’s fucking amazing… And Matt Reeves doing it, I would be a fucking ape on the ground for Matt Reeves, never mind being Batman. It’s incredible. So I’m really blown away and excited, and it’s a great time in the DC universe, you’re going to see some stuff from Justice League that we’re really proud of and I think you’ll see why I’m excited to be Batman.” Read more here.
