Following on from last month’s news that Aaron Eckhart (Olympus Has Fallen) and Courtney Eaton (Mad Max: Fury Road) will be starring in director Steven C. Miller’s (The Aggression Scale) new film Live!, we now have word that Gotham’s Ben McKenzie has also joined the cast of the thriller.
Told in real time over the course of two hours, Live! will see Eckhart as a disgraced cop “who is racing against time to find the police commissioner’s kidnapped daughter after killing her abductor. With the young woman having only 80 minutes to live and a crazed killer after him, the cop has to team up with an online reporter (Eaton) who wants to broadcast the chase live.” McKenzie will play one of the film’s antagonists.
The former The O.C. and Southland star can currently be seen playing Jim Gordon in Fox’s Batman prequel series Gotham, and also recently wrapped production on Scott Z. Burns’ The Torture Report, where he stars alongside the likes of Adam Driver, Jon Hamm, Annette Bening, Jennifer Morrison, Michael C. Hall and Tim Blake Nelson.
