There are two major updates coming to Starship Troopers: Extermination as the battle for Valaka continues. These new updates will bring new gameplay mechanics, significant optimisations and plenty of long-awaited additions requested by the community.
In Update 1.3, players will find that Valaka, Boreas and Agni Prime have a day and night cycle and dynamic weather. These factors will create an ever-changing battlefield for players to deal with. Each of these worlds will have a unique weather system, which creates new challenges. There will also be the addition of new Extreme Weather Mutators, such as thunderstorms, blizzards and ashstorms. Plus, the Sandstorm Mutator has been revamped to include varying levels of intensity.
Players will no longer be forced to face interruptions, as all weapons (except the Sp.L.I.T Shotgun and Sp.L.I.T Shotgun Slug) feature progressive reload stages. This will allow players to resume from the last checkpoint rather than starting over if they are forced to stop reloading mid-combat.
Quality of life enhancements arriving with 1.3 include:
- XP for Disconnections – Players will now earn XP if they disconnect due to crashes or server issues.
- Improved Company System – Invite friends to your company directly from their profile or request to join a company.

In update 1.4 is set to be even bigger, with the highly requested Underbarrel Attachment for Morita MK1. This will open the door for the arrival of Morita MK2 & MK3 upgrades in the future.
There’s also set to be opportunities for players to become Federation war reporters and recover Federal Network Broadcast Cameras from the battlefield and capture footage to boost their squad’s morale XP. This will also be a side objective for players in ARC and Horde modes.
Look out for these updates arriving on Starship Troopers: Extermination later this year.
