Well, it’s September, and the summer movie season is over is over for another year. Taking the crown of the biggest box office hit of the summer in the States is Marvel’s superhero space opera Guardians of the Galaxy, which pulled in $275 million, while the UK crown belonged to 20th Century Fox’s simian sequel Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, with the film fighting off stiff competition from The Inbetweeners 2 to take the crown with £31.99 million.
