The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Aliens star Bill Paxton could be set to join Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe in Grand Theft Auto, BBC Films’ true-life story of the creator of Grand Theft Auto and a Miami lawyer who wanted to get the game banned.
Radcliffe is playing Sam Houser, the British co-founder and president of Rockstar Games, the company behind GTA as well as games such as Max Payne and Red Dead Redemption. Paxton would join the cast as activist attorney Jack Thompson, who ended up attacking Houser and his games, and blasted media outlets for pushing rap and sex on radio stations before he went after video gaming.
Owen Harris (Black Mirror) is directing the film, and is set to start shooting on April 20th. The film is based on Jacked: The Outlaw Story of Grand Theft Auto, the book written by David Kushner.
