Bill Pullman and Judd Hirsch returning for Independence Day 2

April 18, 2015 by Gary Collinson

It looks like we can add two more returning stars to the cast of next year’s Independence Day sequel, with director Roland Emmerich revealing that Bill Pulman and Judd Hirsch will both be back as President Whitmore and Julius Levinson respectively.

The duo will join the returning Jeff Goldblum, Vivica A. Fox and Brent Spiner in the cast of Independence Day 2, along with new additions Liam Hemsworth (The Hunger Games), Jessie Usher (Survivor’s Remorse), Charlotte Gainsbourg (Nymphomaniac), Joey King (Oz the Great and Powerful) and Travis Tope (The Town That Dreaded Sundown).

Independence Day 2 is set to go into production next month ahead of a release on June 24th, 2016.
