Bioware issues response to the reception of Mass Effect: Andromeda

March 30, 2017 by Jordan Jones

In its first statement since launch, Bioware left a message to fans on Twitter acknowledging their feedback of Mass Effect: Andromeda, and promised more information in the days to come:

The Mass Effect Trilogy is regarded by some to be one of the best video game epics of all time. Sure, the ending of Mass Effect 3 has its naysayers, but overall, the series is widely considered to be a triumph in immersive storytelling. Now, several years later, we have just witnessed Mass Effect: Andromeda launch to somewhat mixed reviews.

The critical response has run the gamut from “pretty good” to “okay”, all the way to “…Meh”. While certainly not a failure, it is still surprising to see a Mass Effect title receive this much negative criticism. However, it’s great to hear that Bioware is listening to player’s feedback, and actively working to improve the game. A lesser company would simply deny any, and all problems with the game. Good on you Bioware.
