Warner Bros. gave us a glimpse of the character in last week’s teaser, but now we have some set photos which offer a much better look at Jurnee Smolett-Bell as Dinah Lance, a.k.a. the Black Canary, in the upcoming DC Films girl gang movie Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn).
In addition to the set photos, there’s also a video offering a glimpse of a scene where Cassandra Cain (Ella Jay Basco) is being arrested by the Gotham City Police Department, before Smolett-Bell’s Black Canary turns up with Victor Zsasz (Chris Messina).
Why those two are working together is anyone’s guess at this point, but if you listen very closely towards the end of the video you can hear Black Canary dropping an F-bomb, which should put to rest those ridiculous rumours suggesting that WB had starting shooting without deciding whether it was going for a PG-13 or R rating.
