It looks like Black Mass director Scott Cooper may have lined up his next project, with Deadline revealing that he’s in talks with Warner Bros. about directing the spy thriller White Knight, as well as rewriting the original script from Bill Dubuque (The Judge).
White Knight follows a disgraced Secret Service agent who takes a job protecting the family of an arms dealer, putting himself at the center of a global CIA manhunt. It’s said that Warner Bros. is viewing the project as a potential franchise in the same mold as James Bond and Bourne.
Black Mass is Cooper’s third directorial offering after Crazy Heart and Out of the Furnace, and opens in the UK this Friday.
