With the latest World of Warcraft expansion Warlords of Draenor”due for release shortly, as well as the up and coming Blizzcon due to open its doors on the 7th November 2014 with the mighty Metallica playing at the event, you’d think the people at Blizzard would have enough on their plates at this moment to even consider any more work. Well this isn’t the case as reported over at MMOChampion Blizzard have trademarked two new names, Overwatch and Eye of Azshara.
Eye of Azshara instantly to any Warcraft player sings of a future expansion as the name is rooted in the Lore as both a location in Azeroth (the world in which Warcraft takes place), and the Elven queen – Queen Azshara – who was incredibly beautiful and talented in the skills of magic however as her powers grew, she attracted unwanted attention which led to her downfall and soon after she transformed into the powerful, Queen of the Naga.
As for Overwatch that is a mystery to everyone that see’s the name. After the recent cancellation of Titan (due to Bungie releasing Destiny) which Blizzard had been working on for the best part of a decade then, some are wondering if this is a new game completely from Blizzard or just an expansion for Starcraft 2.
World of Warcraft “Warlords of Draenor” is due for release on November 13th 2014 and you can read more on the recent increase in subscriptions due excited buzz for it here.
