Deadline reports Amazon’s upcoming series Scarpetta from Blumhouse has filled out several recurring roles for its new series. Joining Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis are Tiya Sircar (Star Wars Rebels), Anna Diop (Titans), Graham Phillips (The Bygone) and Georgia King (Vice Principals).
Based on Patricia Cornwell’s best-selling book series, Scarpetta will focus on “Kay Scarpetta (Kidman), Chief Medical Examiner, as she returns to Virginia and resumes her former position with complex relationships, both personal and professional – including her sister Dorothy (Curtis), with plenty of grudges and secrets to uncover.”
Sircar will play as Blaise Fruge, a policewoman, with Diop joins as Sierra ‘Tron’ Patron, a Cyber Investigator with the FBI, Phillips as Past Matt Petersen, a handsome, genteel actor, and King joining as Past ‘Maggie Cutbush.’
Also starring the series isare Bobby Cannavale, Simon Baker, Rosy McEwen, Jake Cannavale, Ariana DeBose, Sosie Bacon, Amanda Righetti, Janet Montgomery, Stephanie Faracy and Mike Vogel.
Scarpetta will be showrun by Liz Sarnoff (Barry), who will also write and executive produce. David Gordon Green (Halloween) will direct the first two episodes. Kidman, Curtis, Cornwell and Green will also executive produce the series.
