Bob Odenkirk has inked a deal to reprise his bone-breaking role in the sequel to 2021 action flick Nobody.
Per Deadline’s report, the Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul star will return for the Universal Pictures and 87 North produced sequel, which will be helmed by The Night Comes For Us director Timo Tjahjanto.
Produced on a budget of just $16 million, Nobody grossed over $60 million at the worldwide box office during its pandemic affected release, and found an even bigger audience during its home entertainment run. Talk of a sequel has been ongoing since the film’s release, but Nobody 2 is now scheduled to open in cinemas on August 15, 2025.
Plot details for the sequel are under wraps, but John Wick creator Derek Kolstad will return to write the script.
Nobody starred Bob Odenkirk as an underestimated and overlooked father and husband, a ‘Nobody’ who finds his long-simmering rage and dormant instincts triggered after an incident with a group of thugs leads to an old adversary surfacing and threatening his family.
