British tabloid The Sun is reporting that production on Bond 25 has been suspended after Daniel Craig suffered a fall during the filming of an action scene in Jamaica and injured his ankle.
“[Craig] was sprinting during filming when he slipped and fell quite awkwardly,” claims the newspaper’s source. “He was in quite a lot of pain and was complaining about his ankle.”
Following the original report, the newspaper then cited another unnamed source as stating: ““Things were deemed to be a disaster at first. But the injury is not as severe as believed, and he will be able to film while not over-exerting his ankle. He will be back on set within the week.”
The production hiatus, however brief, may prove to be a blessing in disguise if this week’s report about the state of the screenplay proves true, with director Cary Joji Fukunaga, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Craig himself all said to be contributing to the script on set and crew members reportedly describing the production as “a well-polished shit show”.
