Boo! Krysten Ritter makes for a terrifying evil witch in trailer for Netflix’s Nightbooks

Channelling Goosebumps and A Series of Unfortunate Events, Netflix have debuted the trailer for their latest Sam Raimi produced spookfest Nightbooks, which tells the story of a young boy who becomes trapped in the apartment of Krysten Ritter’s evil witch, with his only means of survival being his ability to tell a scary story every single night while he looks for a way to escape; check out the poster and trailer below…

When Alex (Winslow Fegley), a boy obsessed with scary stories, is trapped by an evil witch (Krysten Ritter) in her magical apartment, and must tell a scary story every night to stay alive, he teams up with another prisoner, Yasmin (Lidya Jewett), to find a way to escape.

Nightbooks will stream on Netflix later this year.
