Supergirl has added a new cast member for season two, with EW reporting that Brenda Strong (Twin Peaks, Desperate Housewives) has joined the DC superhero show in a recurring role, and will make her debut in the season two premiere.
“The season 2 premiere is definitely a fun mix of comedy and action, along with a pretty surprising exchange between Kara and James,” states the site. “I can’t say more, but I can tell you that Brenda Strong joins the Supergirl cast in a recurring role — and she makes quite the first impression in the season 2 premiere.”

Strong is one of a number of additions to the cast of Supergirl for its second season, with other newcomers including Tyler Hoechlin as Superman, Lynda Carter as the President of the United States, Chris Wood as Mon-El, Sharon Leal as Miss Martian, Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor, Ian Gomez as Snapper Carr, Floriana Lima as Maggie Sawyer, Frederick Schmidt as Metallo and Dichen Lachmen as Roulette.
