Deadline is reporting that Bruce Willis is set to reunite with Emmett/Furla Films once again, this time for a trilogy of sci-fi films entitled The Fortress, the first two instalments of which are now in production shooting back-to-back.
As per the trade, the films are being directed by James Cullen Bressack from scripts by Alan Horsnail, and will see Willis starring alongside several of his recent straight-to-video collaborators, including Jesse Metcalfe (Hard Kill) and Chad Michael Murray (Survive the Night), along with Kelly Greyson (Disturbing the Peace).
The Fortress follows a group of criminals led by Balzary (Murray) who attack a top-secret resort for retired U.S. intelligence officers, hellbent on revenge on Robert (Willis), forcing the former spy and his son (Metcalfe) to save the day.
Filming on The Fortress and The Fortress 2 is taking place in Puerto Rico, with The Fortress 3 slated to shoot at a later date.
