In news from the Cannes Film Festival, Deadline is reporting that Bryan Cranston (Trumbo) and Mila Kunis (Bad Moms) are set to join the cast of Jackpot.
Directed by Will Gluck (Annie, Easy A), Jackpot is a remake of a 2011 Norwegian film based on a story by acclaimed author Jo Nesbo, the man behind Headhunters. The book tells the story of “a man who wakes up in a strip bar clutching a shotgun surrounded by dead men and police guns aimed at him.”
The Expendables scribe Dave Callaham is writing the film, with Cranston and Kunis set to headline and Jennifer Garner (Miracles From Heaven) also in talks to join the ensemble.
Word from Cannes is that Jackpot has many interested parties set to try and nab the rights to the film, which is set to start production this summer.
