Bryan Fuller, the showrunner on Hannibal, has revealed that he is still trying to bring the show back and that no one has given up on season four.
Many a fan was aghast at the news Hannibal wouldn’t be returning after season three. The series was constantly reviewed as one of TV’s best dramas and a small but passionate fan base became borderline obsessed with it.
The plan was to continue the story in a fourth season but NBC decided to ax the show. Ever since, showrunner Bryan Fuller has been trying to bring Hannibal back, with the main cast and producers all on board. The problem, however, remains finding a place to air it, as Fuller explained on Twitter:
“No one has given up! I’ve made it clear I want to do it, the cast wants to do it and Martha wants to do it. We just need a network or a streaming service that wants to do it, too. I don’t feel there’s a clock on it or an expiration date for the idea. We just need someone to bite.”

Fingers crossed that someday soon, Fuller and co will be able to find someone to take up season four. There will certainly be some very excited Fannibals at such news.
