The Hub Network has announced that production is underway on a new animated Transformers series, which is set to take place four years after Transformers: Prime and will see Bumblebee (voiced once again by Will Friedle) serving as leader to a brand new team of Autobots.
The as-yet-untitled series is set to debut in 2015, with Jeff Kline (Transformers: Prime, G.I. Joe: Renegades) serving as executive producer and Will Friedle joined in the voice cast by Darren Criss (Glee), Ted McGinley (Married… with Children) and Constance Zimmer (House of Cards). It will incorporate both traditional and computer-generated animation, with CGI characters over hand-painted backgrounds and environments.
Before the series arrives the Robots in Disguise will also return to the big screen this summer as Michael Bay revamps the blockbuster franchise with Transformers: Age of Extinction. Watch the trailer here.
