Another day, another delayed movie production. This time, it’s the follow-up to the Oscar-nominated romance film Call Me By Your Name. Filmmaker Luca Guadagnino recently let viewers know that the film is now on the back-burner due to the ongoing global crisis.
Guadagnino spoke with Gay.it (via The Playlist) about the global health crisis stalling everything:
“I was going to America to meet a writer I love very much, whose name I don’t want to mention, to talk about the second part. Unfortunately, everything is cancelled. Of course, it’s a great pleasure to work with Timothée Chalamet, Armie Hammer, Michael Stulhbarg, Esther Garrel, and the other actors. They will all be there in the new film.”

Author of the novel Andre Aciman released his Call Me By Your Name sequel Find Me last fall. There’s no word if the film will follow the novel’s story or shift focus to bring Timothée Chalamet and Armie Hammer back together.
