With Spider-Man: Far From Home nearing the end of its production and Thor: Love and Thunder and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness currently shooting in Australia and the UK respectively, Marvel Studios is now turning its attention to its next wave of superhero blockbusters.
According to a report from the Film & Television Industry Alliance (via Dark Horizons), Marvel has now set filming start dates for Captain Marvel 2 and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, with cameras due to begin rolling on both projects on May 31st in London before the Captain Marvel sequel heads to Los Angeles and Ant-Man 3 moves to Atlanta.
Captain Marvel 2 is being directed by Nia DaCosta (Candyman) and features Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Zawe Ashton (Velvet Buzzsaw) as a mystery villain, while Peyton Reed returns to the directors chair on Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania alongside Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, Michael Pena as Luis, Kathryn Newton (Freaky) as Cassie Lang and Jonathan Majors (Lovecraft Country) as Kang the Conqueror.
In addition to Captain Marvel 2 and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Marvel also has Black Panther II and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 due to shoot later this year. On the TV front, Ms. Marvel and Hawkeye are currently filming, with Moon Knight, She-Hulk, Secret Invasion and Armor Wars all gearing up to go into production in the coming months.
