It’s been said on several occasions that Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel will be “by far” the most powerful hero ever introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
And, as part of Entertainment Weekly’s first-look unveiling for next year’s solo superhero movie, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige has been discussing the Captain Marvel tease in the Avengers: Infinity War stinger, and what impact Carol Danvers will have when she joins up with the surviving members of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes for the as-yet-untitled Avengers 4.
“She is more powerful than any character we’ve introduced thus far,” said Feige. “So that alone tells you that there’s a reason Nick Fury hit that button at the end [of Infinity War], when he realized that they were up against something far bigger than they had ever been up against before. And having her on your side is hopefully going to change the balance of power in a way that they desperately need.”
What role do you think Captain Marvel will play in Avengers 4? Will she be the one to defeat the Mad Titan and save the universe? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…
