Young Captain Marvel actress McKenna Grace has signed on to appears in director Jason Reitman’s as-yet-untitled Ghostbusters sequel, Entertainment Weekly has revealed.
Grace is set to portray the daughter of Carrie Coon’s (The Sinner) single mother character, and sister to Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard. While specific plot details are being kept under wraps, it’s said that the family – the leads of the movie – will have a connection to the original 1984 movie.
At this point in time, it’s yet to be confirmed whether Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson or any of the other original cast members such as Sigourney Weaver, Annie Potts and (highly unlikely) Rick Moranis will be reprising their roles, although Hudson has indicated that “everyone is in”.
