Variety is reporting that Cary Elwes (The Art of More) and Matthew Modine (Stranger Things) have signed on to star in the World War II drama Burning at Both Ends, which marks the first project from the newly-formed production company Slingshot Ltd.
Matthew Hill and Landon Johnson, the recipients of the inaugural $50,000 Chronos Prize, are writing and directing the film, which follows a group of resistance radio broadcasters in Nazi-occupied France as they evade capture alongside a Jewish family.
Production on Burning at Both Ends is set to get underway this spring, with a cast that also includes Greer Grammer (The Middle), Judd Hirsch (Taxi), and Rob Gough (Billionaire Boys Club).
