There are talks that the classic film The Princess Bride will be remade, and original star Cary Elwes isn’t too happy about it.
The Princess Bride is one of Hollywood’s iconic cult movies. The hilarious fantasy adventure starring Cary Elwes and Mandy Patinkin has entertained movie lovers across generations but now there are rumours that it could be remade.
There are a lot of people who aren’t too enthused by the idea of remaking what many consider to be an immaculate movie and one of these is Cary Elwes himself. The actor took to Twitter to respond to the news: “There’s a shortage of perfect movies in this world. It would be a pity to damage this one.”
His tweet was in response to a Variety post that reads: “Sony Pictures Entertainment CEO Tony Vinciquerra says that ‘very famous people whose names I won’t use’ want to redo Norman Lear’s The Princess Bride.”
