A little over a week after his cameo appearance at the conclusion of The Mandalorian’s season two premiere ‘The Marshal’, it was reported in the trades that Disney and Lucasfilm were readying a Boba Fett miniseries starring Temuera Morrison and looking to potentially begin production before the year end.
We’ve heard nothing official since, but if a report from The Illuminerdi is to be believed, casting is officially underway with Lucasfilm looking to fill two roles in particular: Skad, a male aged between 18 and 24 and described as “British, edgy, fit, and resilient; and Drash, an 18-24 year old female who is “British, cool, self-assured, and in need of refinement”. Both are said to be “faithful members of a street crew who are willing to question authority”.
According to the site, offers have been made to Jordan Bolger (The 100, Peaky Blinders) and Sophie Thatcher (The Exorcist, Chicago Med) for the roles, although it is unclear if they have officially signed on the dotted line.
Meanwhile, The Direct is claiming that the series will indeed revolve around the fan favourite bounty hunter, and take place before the events of The Mandalorian. If true, then it’ll presumably detail Fett’s escape from the Sarlacc and give us some insight as to what he’s been up to on Tatooine in the five years since Return of the Jedi.
