Deadline is reporting that CBS Films has snapped up Tesla & Twain, an action-adventure pitch from writer Eric Siegel (Men at Work, The Emoji Movie), which is being produced by Brigham Taylor (The Jungle Book).
Details on the project are scarce, but it’s said that the film will present “a fictional exploration of the real historical friendship between the great writer Mark Twain and the genius inventor Nikola Tesla.”
Nikola Tesla is also set to appear as a character in the currently-in-production The Current War, where he is being portrayed by Nicholas Hoult. He was also played by David Bowie in Christopher Nolan’s The Prestige back in 2006.
