Variety is reporting that Channing Tatum has signed on to produce and star in an adaptation of author Melissa Del Bosque’s upcoming book Bloodlines: The True Story of a Drug Cartel, the FBI, and the Battle for a Horse-Racing Dynasty.
Bloodlines follows two FBI agents as they work to take down members of a drug cartel wrapped up with quarter horse racing in Texas. The script is being written by Jonathan Herman, the Oscar-nominated screenwriter of Straight Outta Compton.
Tatum’s latest film Logan Lucky opened this past Friday in the U.S. and arrives in UK cinemas on August 25th [read our review here]. He will also be seen in next month’s spy caper sequel Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
