Since The Russo Brothers said that they had 67 characters in Avengers: Infinity War – a number they clarified was figurative – fans began to speculate who was going to be in the ensemble cast. Hell, we even did it ourselves. Many fans jumped to the conclusion that the Netflix side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe – Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist – must surely be involved.
Well Daredevil himself, Charlie Cox, has said that he’s not had the call from Kevin Feige just yet. But even if Marvel did decide to have Daredevil in Avengers: Infinity War, it doesn’t have to be Charlie Cox in the role.
“Marvel TV and Marvel Studios are two very different things,” he told ET. “So even if the character were to appear in that film, that doesn’t necessarily mean that I would appear in that film. I will pick a fight with the guy that they choose.”

Given how closely tied the Netflix series – as well as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter – are to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it would seem unlikely that Marvel would recast the roles of Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage should they join the fight in Avengers: Infinity War. However, it’s something to bear in mind.
