Casting rumors for Bond 25 are officially full steam ahead. So far, Tom Hardy, Henry Cavill, and Tom Hiddleston have all put their names into the hat for the coveted role of 007, and today we can add one more name to that list: Sons of Anarchy, Pacific Rim, and King Arthur: Legend of the Sword actor Charlie Hunnam.
Recently, the actor made a guest appearance on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and addressed some rumors that he was up for the role of James Bond. While the actor denies that any talks have happened regarding the part, he would be open to the idea:
“I can say two things. I’m English and I look devilishly handsome in a suit. I can say three things…and nobody has called me about playing James Bond, so I’m pretty sure that’s not going to happen. … If you (Conan O’Brien) decide not to do it, you can just throw your ol’ pal Charlie’s name in the hat.”
There are so many rumors surrounding Bond 25. We have talk of Daniel Craig returning/being replaced, Christopher Nolan’s Syncopy producing the film (which has seemingly been debunked), and even Nolan himself behind the director’s chair. All just rumors for now, but exciting rumors nonetheless.
