Back in September, MGM and Orion Pictures announced that production is underway on their remake of the cult 80s horror Child’s Play, and now we have word of two new additions to the cast of the film.
Bloody Disgusting is reporting that child actors Beatrice Kitsos (The Exorcist) and Ty Consiglio (Wonder) have signed on to portray the characters of Falyn and Pugg, two friends of Andy Barclay.
Gabriel Bateman (Lights Out) is playing Andy, the young boy who received the sinister Chucky doll as a birthday present from his mother, portrayed by Aubrey Plaza (Legion). Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta) also stars in the cast of the film, which is being directed by Lars Klevberg (Polaroid).
Chucky creator Don Mancini and voice actor Brad Dourif have no involvement in the new film, although both are attached to a Child’s Play TV series set in the original continuity.
