During Disney’s Investor Day presentation this week, the Mouse House revealed that it would be bringing the live-action Pinocchio and Peter Pan and Wendy straight to Disney+, but those aren’t the only Disney+ Originals that subscribers have to look forward to as we also got word on three new projects.
First up is a live-action/CG-animated hybrid Chip N’ Dale: Rescue Rangers movie, based upon the classic 90s animated series, with Akiva Schaffer (Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping) directing fellow Lonely Island member Andy Samberg and John Mulaney (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), along with a cameo from Seth Rogen.
Next up was the news that Whoopi Goldberg is returning for a third Sister Act movie, reprising his role as lounge singer Deloris as well as producing the film with Tyler Perry. It will mark the fourth collaboration between Goldberg and Perry, the most recent of which was 2018’s Nobody’s Fool.

Finally, we also got official confirmation that Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy are set to reprise their roles as the Sanderson Sisters for a sequel to the 1993 cult classic Hocus Pocus. Adam Shankman (Step Up, What Men Want) is directing the sequel from a script by Jen D’Angelo (Workaholics).
