Chloe Graze Moretz has signed on to appear in the title role in the upcoming adaptation of Emily Danforth’s coming of age novel The Miseducation of Cameron Post.
The film is being directed by Desiree Akhavan (Appropriate Behaviour) and will see Moretz as Cameron, a young girl taken in by her aunt following the death of her parents, who is forced into a conversion therapy clinic after being outed as a lesbian.
Moretz will be joined in the cast of the film by Sasha Lane (American Honey), John Gallagher Jr. (Short Term 12), Forrest Goodluck (The Revenant), and Jennifer Ehle (A Quiet Passion), with Ashley Connor (Thou Wast Mild and Lovely).
Earlier this year, Moretz announced that she was taking a break from acting, pulling out of all of her upcoming projects, including an adaptation of The Little Mermaid. However, that seemed short lived, as she has also recently signed on to appear in the Suspiria remake, which is being directed by Luca Guadagnino (A Bigger Splash).
