Chop ‘Til You Drop with Killing Floor 2’s free Christmas update

December 10, 2021 by Andrew Newton

Tripwire Interactive has got into the Christmas spirit of giving and released a free update for Killing Floor 2, titled Chop ‘Til You Drop.  The update is available on Xbox and Playstation consoles and PC and features lots of new Christmas themed content, including weapons, a new map, achievements and weekly game modes.  Watch the trailer below to see more of the update…

Among the bundle of festive content is the new community map Carillon Hamlet.  This map is a medium sized industrial themed one with a bright daylight setting that will give players that joyous Christmas feeling until the zeds come along.  Carillon Hamlet supports Survival, Weekly and Endless game modes.  There are 5 new objectives ties into the new map that will allow players to earn the Holiday Shopping Companion Backpack accessory.

Chop ‘Til You Drop will feature a selection of new weekly game modes, these include:

  • Boss Rush – This mode will have players fighting different waves against one random boss, with each wave getting gradually more difficult.  Completion of this mode will reward players with the Boss Trophy Backpack Accessory.
  • Shrunken Heads – All zeds have shrunken heads and take no head-shot damage.  After completing the mode, players are rewarded with the Practice Target backpack accessory.
  • Doshinegun – The Doshinegun is designed for the Survivalist Perk and comes with five unique skin variants.
  • Free HRG Stunner – This is a free weapon for SWAT class players but is strong and packs a punch.

For those who like their cosmetics, Chop ‘Til You Drop features an Alchemist Weapon Skin Bundle Pack, Christmas Weapon Skin Bundle Pack and Alchemist Gear Cosmetic Bundle Pack.  A Holiday Shopper Outfit Bundle is also available and includes the new Christmas 2021 outfit that is suitable for Mr. Foster, Reverend Alberts, Mrs. Foster, PC Rob Briar, Classic Briar, Oisten Jagerhorn, Ana Larive, Lt. Bill Masterson, Classic Masterson, Donovan Neal, DJ Scull, Anton Strasser, Hayato Tanaka, Rae Higgins.  Themed cosmetics will be purchasable via the Direct Bundle.
